The Gibby’s Garden Story
The Gibson Family has been at work in this industry since 2018 when we received our provisional license. We were the 1st licensed Microbusiness in Massachusetts and have enjoyed being part of the Cannabis Community these past years. We entered into this activity with the professional skill base that helped us build out our facility and the gardening background that got us growing Cannabis with the love and gratitude that we want the consumers to experience when they enjoy our flower. We hold a deep respect for this amazing herb and believe open access to it will change the world. We endeavor to partner with retail partners that share this respect for both the herb and for the consumers seeking fresh, quality flower and products.
A Family Business
Kimberly Gibson, Business MGR.
Kim is a licensed builder and has been designing and building data centers for the last 25 years in Massachusetts.
Her education is in Secondary Science Education with a minor in Microbiology undertaken at Oregon State University.
Kim’s heart is in the therapeutic benefits of the Cannabis industry. She has been producing herbal remedies from herbs in the Gibson Gardens for decades, so the transition to Cannabis has been a natural move.
Kim manages the overall business, including the management of paperwork, filings and registrations. She will remain at her current position for the unforeseen future.
Alfred “Fred” Gibson, Operations MGR.
Fred became a nurse almost 20 years ago at MassBay Community College,
Natick MA after working in and owning a variety of construction
businesses including modular home construction, concrete pipe
production, along with being a truck driver.
Currently Fred has his own business as Fred the Foot Guy based in Uxbridge, MA providing foot-care nursing services to the senior population in Central MA.
Fred acts as our operations manager overseeing the day to day
communications and admin operations outside of the cultivation. Fred is
also the main liaison with our retail operation clientele, overseeing
paperwork, record keeping, reports, and customer service oversight.
Joseph “Joe” Gibson, Head Cultivator
Joseph has been working the development of Gibby’s Garden and performing the bulk of the fit-up at our grow location for the past year and a half while providing a companionship role to his 88 year old Grandmother who has lived with us for the past 9 years.
Prior to that, Joe had worked for 5 years at Rolls Royce Marine Division in Walpole, MA as a utility worker, refurbishing propellers from submarines and other vessels.
Joe is our Head Cultivator. He had been researching and experimenting in our legal home grow since 2016 legality occurred. He worked at defining the process of cultivation including the correct germination of seeds, using all natural soil and fertilizers to maximize volume and
potency and perfecting the drying process.
We started the first batches of clones from our mothers at the home grow. While we have introduced new strains over the years, our Nevilles Haze, one of Joe’s original finds is still going strong. Pulling in rain water to irrigate our ‘girls’ was one of the best decisions we made to
create as natural an environment as possible.
Jen Rainville, Director of Wholesale
At the heart of Gibby’s Garden, Jen Rainville has been a pivotal force since January 2020, overseeing the company’s wholesale, operations, administration, and sales divisions from our Uxbridge, Massachusetts location. With over four years under her belt, Jen has not only steered our operations but also passionately advocated for transparency and integrity in the cannabis industry.
Jen’s journey at Gibby’s Garden is marked by a staunch commitment to providing consumers with clean, unadulterated cannabis. She raises an important question that challenges industry standards: "How many growers can say they are growing clean cannabis?"
Her advocacy for consumer rights and product transparency underscores a critical dialogue about the necessity of radiation labeling on cannabis products in Massachusetts, spotlighting Gibby’s Garden’s dedication to offering nothing but pure, unirradiated cannabis.
