At Gibby's in Uxbridge, every gram we sell as flower or as the source for our pre-rolls goes through human hands. That is a production choice, not a slogan. It costs more time. It keeps trichomes on the plant instead of on the drum.

What a machine does
A trim machine is fast. It is how large canopy rooms finish thousands of pounds. The tradeoff is broken heads, lost frost, and a more uniform, sometimes scuffed look. Fine for some price tiers. It is not how we finish a micro-canopy that is already limited by license.
What we do
We are a Massachusetts microbusiness (MB281347). Small rooms, solar on the roof, rainwater in the tanks. After harvest the flowers dry, then a person trims. You should still see intact calyxes and a coat of trichomes, not a sanded golf ball. If a “hand-trimmed” eighth looks chewed, that is not our trim standard — ask the shop which lot it is.
How to tell at the counter
Look. Do not just read the card. Machine-trimmed flower often has a rounded, scuffed surface and less sticky frost on the outside. Hand-trimmed flower still looks like a plant: individual calyxes, pistils, a little leaf only where it protects the head. Smell should match the cultivar — MAC 1 citrus, White Truffle savory, Cap Junky gas-mint — not dust.

Why we bother
