How to read a strain (and what to ignore)
Two things actually tell you something: lineage and aroma. Lineage is a strain's parent genetics, the cross it came from, the same way a wine grape has a heritage. It hints at the character you can expect. Aroma comes from terpenes, the aromatic oils that give each cultivar its smell and flavor, the same compound family behind citrus, pine, and pepper.
The thing to not over-weight is the THC percentage. THC is a measure of potency, not quality, and the highest number on the shelf is rarely the best flower in the room. Each of these came through pheno-hunting: we grew many versions of the strain and kept only the standout plant. ("Phenotype" is one specific expression of a strain; "pheno-hunting" is taste-testing a hundred of them and bottling only the best.) Availability moves around as batches sell through, so some are on more shelves than others at any given time.
