TL;DR: Gibby's Craft Cannabis, the craft brand from Gibby's Garden in Uxbridge, is an official competitor in Best in Grass Massachusetts 2026. Consumer judging runs August 1 through October 4. Winners are announced November 19 at Royale Boston.
Gibby's Craft Cannabis is an official competitor in Best in Grass Massachusetts 2026 (https://bestingrass.io/competitions/massachusetts-2026/). That is a statewide, consumer-judged contest of licensed Massachusetts cannabis products. It is not a trophy we awarded ourselves. Real shoppers score sealed samples, then the scores decide the field.
We entered three flower categories: indica flower, sativa flower, and hybrid flower. Those are the contest's category names. They are not a scientific claim about how any cultivar will feel. If you want the longer version of that debate, we already wrote why those labels do not mean what most people think: https://gibbysgarden.com/blog/indica-vs-sativa-myth/
What Best in Grass actually is
Best in Grass is a public judging program. Licensed producers submit products. An intake partner packs them into judge kits. A judge kit is a sealed set of samples plus a scoring form, sold only in store, so adults 21 and older can evaluate products they would not otherwise compare side by side.
For Massachusetts 2026, Insa is the official intake partner (https://rock929rocks.com/2026/08/07/massachusetts-cannabis-competition-kicks-off-judge-kits-available-at-insa-dispensaries/). ROCK 92.9, citing Insa and WWLP-22News, reported that Insa assembled more than 3,100 kits statewide, with about 700 of those offered at Insa's four Massachusetts dispensaries: Avon, Easthampton, Salem, and Springfield. Kits launched Saturday, August 1, and are first-come, first-served while they last. We do not sell the kits, and we do not set the price.
Scoring is anonymous. Judges submit evaluations through Sunday, October 4. Winners are announced live on Wednesday, November 19 at Royale Boston. Schedule: https://bestingrass.io/
What we entered, and what we did not
The campaign graphic is the source of truth for our entry: indica flower, sativa flower, and hybrid flower. We are not claiming a win. We are not claiming a statewide "best" title. A contest is a snapshot of the samples in that kit, scored by the people who bought a kit. That is useful information. It is not a substitute for smelling a jar and reading the batch paperwork.
If you are choosing flower on a regular Tuesday, the same rules still apply. Trust aroma. Check the harvest or packaged date. Ask to see the COA, the Certificate of Analysis, which is the independent lab report tied to that batch. Where this meets the shelf
Judge kits live at participating Insa stores, not on our site. Gibby's flower lives at licensed dispensary partners. Those are two different errands. To see which shops currently carry us, use Find Us (https://gibbysgarden.com/find-us/) and ask for Gibby's Craft Cannabis by name.
If you pick up a kit, score what is in front of you. If you skip the kit, that is fine too. The contest ends October 4 either way. After November 19 we will know who the judges picked. Until then, we are in the field like everyone else who submitted.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Best in Grass Massachusetts 2026?
Best in Grass Massachusetts 2026 is a statewide consumer-judging contest of licensed cannabis products, with scoring open from August 1 through October 4. Winners are scheduled to be announced November 19 at Royale Boston. Insa is the official intake partner for this year's Massachusetts kits.
Is Gibby's Craft Cannabis competing in Best in Grass?
Gibby's Craft Cannabis, the craft brand from Gibby's Garden (license MB281347), is an official competitor in indica, sativa, and hybrid flower for Best in Grass Massachusetts 2026. That is an entry, not a result. Scores come from the people who buy a judge kit.
How do I judge Best in Grass 2026 in Massachusetts?
Buy a judge kit in store at a participating Insa dispensary in Avon, Easthampton, Salem, or Springfield, then submit your anonymous scores by October 4. Kits launched August 1 and are limited. They are not sold on gibbysgarden.com.
Where can I find Gibby's flower during the contest?
Gibby's Craft Cannabis is sold only through licensed Massachusetts dispensary partners, listed on our Find Us page, not through a consumer web cart. A Best in Grass kit is a separate product sold at participating Insa stores while supplies last.
Does a contest win mean a product is the best cannabis in Massachusetts?
A contest win would mean that kit's judges preferred those samples in those categories, which is not the same as naming a single best cannabis in Massachusetts. Aroma, freshness, and the batch COA are still the everyday signals we tell people to use.
